They get a series of car parts to assemble a vehicle, so they can escape to civilisation. They have only a few basic rations to survive on.

Funeral for a Ford (2019) – The three present a short history class on the medium-sized Ford saloon. The car provided transport for millions of dads including Clarkson senior and father May though not Richard’s dad. Richard takes to the track in the legendary Sierra RS Cosworth before all three hosts re-group to celebrate the Ford Mondeo. The history lesson ends with a touching memorial to the Mondeo.

Operation Desert Stumble (2016) – The deadly trio bring the traveling Grand Tour tent to The Cradle of Humankind near Johannesburg in South Africa. The three hosts become special forces soldiers with an all action challenge at a top secret training base, deep within Jordan. Jeremy introduces the 800 horsepower Aston Martin Vulcan to the Grand Tour test track, and James is sent to investigate an unusual form of motorsport called spinning.
